This September, the 26th annual Monaco Yacht Show will be held in Port Hercules in the Principality of Monaco
The Monaco Yacht Show is the largest and most glamorous yachting event in Europe and the only yacht show dedicated entirely to showcasing superyachts for sale and luxury yachts for charter. The highly anticipated 2016 edition will include 580 exhibitors from 38 different countries and over 100 superyachts will be on display alongside tenders, toys and 40 new builds premiering in Monaco this month.
Every aspect of the yachting industry will be represented at the show including yacht designers, builders and brokers, luxury brands such as Bentley, Lanson and Ferrari, yachting magazines and much more besides. This year the show has been divided into several different zones in and around the Port Hercules and will cover an area of 20,000 sq. m including a floating superyacht exhibition and a new space for 2016, the Car Deck. The Car Deck will be dedicated to luxury motors and visitors will be able to view and test-drive prestige vehicles on the Monaco GP racetrack.
The unofficial motto of this year’s show appears to be ‘the bigger the better’ and the largest yacht of 2016, a 79 meter schooner called the Athena will be on display in the port along with ten other superyachts of over 65 meters. In keeping with this theme, 2 notable yacht designers will also be showing off their latest concepts, Andy Waugh will display the 111 meter design ‘Nobiskrug Ascendance’ and the Pride Mega Yacht yard will show the ‘Ninety Two’, a 92 meter concept from China.
For those looking for the must-have toys of summer 2017, over 40 toy and tech companies will be represented at the show. Popular brands Funair and Seabob will both be unveiling new models this year and their displays are sure to be a crowd-pleaser with the 30,000 guests expected to visit the show during its 4 day run from the 28th September to the 1st October.
Whether you are looking to invest in a new superyacht, add to your on-board toy box or simply check out the latest concepts in yachting design, the Monaco Yacht Show is the ideal venue. For further information and details about the show, the official website can be found at monacoyachtshow.com
